Shaq calls himself a ‘d—head’, splits from ex-wife Shawnee Henderson over ‘bad’ actions
Shaquille O’Neal To be honest she was the reason he got married to ex-wife Shawnee Henderson.
Talking to people for a cover story, Basketball Hall of Famer Called herself a “d—head” while married to Henderson, who was on the TV show “Basketball Wives.”
“I was a head,” O’Neill said. “You don’t know how good you’ve got something until it’s gone.”
O’Neal has owned up to his mistakes in the past, telling “The Pivot Podcast” that “He was great. He really was. It’s all mine.”
O’Neill didn’t delve into the specifics of why her first marriage ended, but she noted that she was “not keeping those vows.”
“Sometimes when you live that double life, you get caught up,” he adds. “I’m not going to say it was his. It was all mine.”
O’Neal and Henderson officially dissolved their union in 2011 after marrying in 2002. She married pastor Keion Henderson in May. O’Neill never remarried.

But he is not the only baller in the family. Amirah O’Neal, 21, played for Texas Southern University during the 2021-22 season, while Shakir O’Neal, 19, is with the Texas Southern men’s program. Amira also attended her father’s alma mater, LSU, as a basketball player during the 2020-21 season.
The youngest of four, May’Arah O’Neill, is a 16-year-old basketball player at Crossroads School. Santa Monica, California.
