Rod Stewart Leaves Fans Unimpressed As He Sings Sweet Caroline At Jubilee Concert
Rod Stewart failed to impress fans on Saturday night as he sang Sweet Caroline at the star-studded Platinum Jubilee concert.
The singer, 77, had the crowd dancing as he sang Neil Diamond’s much-loved tune with his recognizably raspy voice.
As revelers went wild for Rod’s cover, BBC viewers felt that Rod had “butchered” the famous karaoke song.

After the show, Rod revealed that he and his backing singers had recently recovered from Covid-19 after returning to the UK in the middle of his US tour.
“I just came home specifically for this, and I caught Covid and got over it! All six of us have it, we’re just happy to be here,’ he said.
Welcomed on stage as a “rock legend”, Sir Rod began by singing Baby Jane alongside three backup singers, who wore Union Jack-themed dresses.
Sir Rod – whose wife Penny Lancaster watched him from the audience – put on a dynamic display in a bright yellow suit jacket, which he teamed with black trousers and a crisp white shirt for the dazzling performance.

He did not fail to disappoint the crowd by singing the hit anthem Sweet Caroline as the second track of the evening.

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee enters its third day today with the Epsom Derby Concert and Palace Party, featuring Diana Ross, Sir Rod Stewart, Sam Ryder and many more.
They are part of a series of major events planned for the four-day extravaganza, which began Thursday with Trooping the Color and a breathtaking flypast of 71 aircraft.
The celebration will end on Sunday with a special show celebrating the life of the country’s longest-serving monarch.
