Rhome police asks for public’s assist finding suspect, witness of deadly motorbike crash

The Rhome Police Division is asking for the general public’s assist in finding a suspect driver who is needed in relation to the loss of life of a motorcyclist. The police can be hoping to talk with a witness to the crash.

At about 7:15 a.m. Friday, police have been dispatched to a significant crash on U.S. 287 between Pioneer Parkway and State Freeway 114 in Rhome, Texas.

The motive force of a 2014 Harley Davidson motorbike was compelled off the highway by a driver of a pickup truck hauling a trailer.

The motorcyclist, 55-year-old Jerry Wayne Newton of Decatur, Texas, was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Value. He didn’t survive his accidents, based on Rhome police.

Rhome, a metropolis in Sensible County, is about 25 minutes away from Fort Value.

The motive force of the suspect car fled the scene.

Instantly after the crash occurred, a truck driver stopped to help, based on police. The truck driver is described as a white male carrying an orange vest who was carrying a medical bag.

He spoke to a Sensible County dispatcher on the cellphone and described the suspect car as a darkish or silver pickup truck pulling a trailer.

The trailer was orange on the underside and had a black tarp overlaying a water tank, based on police. The suspect car was adopted by an analogous truck and trailer which will have been touring with the suspect car.

Anybody who was within the space or has details about the accident or in regards to the suspect car and driver is requested to name the Rhome Police Division 817-636-2400 or to name the Sensible County Sheriff’s Workplace dispatch at 940-627-5971.

The Rhome Police Division, the Texas Division of Public Security, and Texas Rangers are persevering with the investigation.
