Projected AP Top 25 poll entering Week 12

Washington’s stunning comeback win at No. 6 Oregon shook up the College Football Playoff picture Saturday night. And then came UCLA’s stunning loss to Arizona that narrowed Pac-12 Final Four hopes to one team — Lincoln Riley’s USC Trojans. Sunday’s Week 12 AP Top 25 rankings will see big changes, with TCU’s win at Texas.

Several nationally ranked teams have dropped out of the latest AP poll, while some other programs in the playoff hunt have noticeably flexed their muscles, including Ohio State, Michigan and Tennessee. The Volunteers scored 66 points in beating Missouri, a style-point win for Josh Heupel’s team after last week’s loss to Georgia.

Liberty and Illinois are among the teams that could be unranked after Hugh Freeze and the Flames lost to UConn and the Fighting Illini suffered a home upset to Purdue to lose their spot atop the Big Ten West.
