FORT LEE − A police-involved capturing has left one individual useless after a morning disturbance.

The incident started at about 8:13 a.m. in response to a 9-1-1 name at 1585 John St. A male civilian was shot and pronounced useless at 10:39 a.m., in accordance with a launch from the Workplace of the Lawyer Normal Matthew J. Platkin.

A neighbor stated he heard two rounds of photographs fired close by within the 100-unit rental complicated. He stated he noticed damaged glass, and pots, pans and different gadgets thrown out a rear second-floor kitchen window of a townhouse.

A hearth division ladder truck pulled an unidentified individual from the third ground of the unit, the neighbor stated.

“This investigation is being carried out pursuant to Lawyer Normal Directive 2019-4, which implements the statutory requirement that the Lawyer Normal’s Workplace conduct the investigation of any loss of life that happens throughout an encounter with a legislation enforcement officer,” stated the press launch.

Fort Lee Police declined to remark, referring inquiries to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Workplace.
