Taylor Swift The fans were watching the red Tuesday when Ticket Master Pre-sales for the singer’s new tour online were overwhelmed by demand. The delay led many fans to believe they would never get tickets (… as always) but pop star tickets “The Eras Tour” Wednesday was available through the resale market — priced in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Tickets for Swift’s May 26 show at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey are listed for $21,600 each on resale site StubHub.

That price tag will get fans a spot on the floor in front of the stage. Entry to the stadium alone – costs at least $350 on StubHub.

These sky-high prices aren’t just for MetLife’s shows, which are just outside of New York City. Other dates on Swift’s 52-show tour are also commanding insane amounts of money.

Floor seats for the tour’s March 17 opening night in Glendale, Arizona are going for around $17,010 while floor tickets for Swift’s April 28 show in Atlanta are listed at $35,438.

To put these numbers into context, tickets to last season’s Super Bowl between the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals at LA’s Sophie Stadium The average is $10,427, while the cheapest seats cost around $7,000.

A StubHub representative told CNN Business on Wednesday that many SWIFT tickets on the resale site sold for about “$150 and the average is closer to $600.” However, they noted that this is now only the pre-sale period “so demand is at its peak and these prices will last.”

The company also noted that “listed prices are not indicative of demand or what the market may bear.”

As for Ticketmaster, the company issued a statement via Twitter on Tuesday saying there was “historically unprecedented demand with millions of people showing up” to purchase tickets for Swift’s tour. The company told customers waiting in virtual queues that it was moving and was “tight”.

While demand and prices for Swift’s tour, which ends Aug. 9 in Los Angeles, are astronomical, it speaks to just how popular she is.

Swift has scored countless hits in her career, built a loyal following of fans — better known as “Swifties” — and recently became the first artist to claim every top ten spot on the Billboard Hot 100 following the release of her latest album. , “Midnight,” which was published last month.
