Regardless, the Rams dragged their feet about keeping the quarterback Matthew Stafford League sources say the situation is back in concussion protocol, the leg sprain is over.

Stafford re-entered the protocol three days after withdrawing.

Although coach Sean McVay would never admit that Stafford had an injury, it was not called “ankle sprain protocol.” The fact that Stafford had to progress through the multi-step process to secure clearance to play clearly indicates that he was indeed nervous. And now he shrank again.

According to a source with knowledge of the situation, Stafford is back in concussion protocol.

It took more than a day to happen. And it’s possible that the Rams and/or relevant doctors are ultimately pressured by the league and/or union to make the call. Regardless, Stafford is now back on protocol.

In six days, the Rams meet the Chiefs in Kansas City. This is a rematch of a memorable shootout from November 19, 2018.

Since then, both teams have appeared in two Super Bowls. Both teams won one each. Currently, however, the Rams are buckling under the weight of a “fake de picks” bill – and the Chiefs are the league’s best team.
