Margot Robbie shares a ‘shot’ Martin Scorsese told her that makes a good movie ‘great’
Robbie reflected on the experience during the “Life in Pictures supported TCL” talk at BAFTA on Tuesday (November 22), explaining that Scorsese would “sit around and tell stories about the Mafia and old movie stars”.
But Robbie, now 32, says Scorsese tipped him off about what makes a good movie great.
“We were shooting the shot where I’m running up the stairs, and he turns to me and goes, ‘Every great movie has a staircase shot,'” he said.
“I’ve told many directors that Martin Scorsese said that every great movie has a staircase shot, so take the stairs there.”
