Nkunku caught the world’s attention by scoring a hat-trick against Manchester City in the Champions League in September 2021. He also scored against Bayern Munich, PSG and Borussia Dortmund.
The France international made headlines again on May 5, 2022, when he scored a sensational Rangers volley during Leipzig’s Europa League campaign.
As a result, the Red Devils are eager to beat Premier League rivals Chelsea to sign the Frenchman.
Chelsea have expressed interest in signing Nkunku as he prepares to live without Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and possibly Cesar Azpilicueta as well.

However, reports have said that RB Leipzig are unwilling to let Nkunku leave ‘under any circumstances this summer’.
Moreover, Nkunku doesn’t have an exit clause in his contract, which runs until 2024. As a result, Leipzig hold all the power regarding the 24-year-old’s future.
However, club chief executive Oliver Mintzlaff is happy to grant Nkunku an exit clause if he signs a new contract at Leipzig.
However, that would mean Nkunku would have to play for Leipzig for at least a year.
