The reality star, 42, just uploaded a new mirror photo for fans that shows her donning a gray, logo print, Lurex turtleneck sweater from the Balenciaga x Adidas collaboration, black shorts and a black top adorned with the iconic Adidas white stripes—Balenciaga’s spring/ Over the knee boots from the Summer 2023 collection.

As for her caption, the style icon who doesn’t really need an introduction kept her message to fans simple, writing, “Hey.” While racking up millions of likes in the process, Kardashian’s photo inspired many comments of approval and others slamming her for wearing items from a label that is currently facing backlash for its latest ads.
“Unbelievable image,” one fan wrote while another expressed their thoughts with a plethora of heart-eye emojis. Kardashian has been a brand ambassador and outspoken fan of Balenciaga for several years now, and her ex, West (who is now legally known as Ye), collaborated with the label on the popular Yeezy Gap line earlier this year. The fashion powerhouse (along with Adidas) severed all ties with Ye due to his numerous anti-Semitic comments and controversial statements.
Balenciaga comes under fire for new ad
In the comments section of Kardashian’s post, many fans urged the mother of four to “call out Balenciaga” or stop wearing clothes from them after a recent ad campaign that didn’t sit well with many.
Balenciaga has since apologized for their controversial holiday ad campaign featuring children holding teddy bears and handbags containing fetish gear, including harnesses, cuffs and fishnets. This then prompted thousands of TikTok, Twitter and Instagram users to use a new hashtag this week— #cancelBalenciaga.
Demna Gvasalia, Georgian fashion designer and Balenciaga’s creative director, released a statement on the matter via Instagram, writing, “We sincerely apologize for any offense our holiday campaign may have caused.” He continued, “Our plush bear bags should not have featured children in this campaign. We have immediately removed the campaign from all platforms.”
