Justin Hartley opens up about daughter Isabella leaving college
Justin Hartley An empty nester is about to open.
“It’s hard when they’re gone,” he shared. “You think you’re ready for it because as they grow up they gain independence and they’re too far gone anyway. They have their own friends and their own interests and you can visit them.”
Hartley continued, “When they actually leave, it’s really a text or a phone call. And you know, she’s 18, so let’s be honest, it’s a text. I don’t get phone calls, which is normal, but I do it.” I hate it.”
“I’m not ready for it! I’m only 13, but I’m preparing myself for it,” Hudson replied.
Hartley shared one positive of getting the kids out of the house during the day with the host, joking, “You have more time to party.”

“It’s the worst thing in the world. There’s got to be a better way to do it,” he told the host.
“I’m in the car, she’s driving, she’s doing great and I’m in the passenger seat. I’m kind of slacking off and I’m opening gummy bears and as I’m eating them — I’m shoving them in my mouth like a baby — and I look up and we’re all around. Crossing the road — a red light! Just reckless!” she said.
“He couldn’t care less,” added Hartley.
The star then pulled her daughter away and told her, “That could have been my last gummy bear. You have to be more careful.”
