Wild celebrations followed on Thursday as Roma paraded the trophy through the city in front of thousands of supporters.
Giallorossi fans started chanting ‘He who doesn’t jump supports Lazio’ and Mourinho was seen singing along.
Mourinho, who joined Roma last July, was celebrating the fifth European trophy in his storied managerial career.
At Porto, he won a UEFA Cup and a Champions League. He also won the first European competition at Inter Milan in 2010, then the Europa League during this period at Manchester United.
He has won every major European final he has entered.
The trophy guarantees that he has won at least one trophy at every club except Tottenham since his time at Porto.
There were some incredible scenes in Rome to mark the club’s Europa Conference League win
Mourinho broke down in tears after winning the continental title and was mobbed by his jolly stars, who doused him with water, danced and sang ‘campiones, campiones, ole, ole, ole’.
After the match, Mourinho told Sky Sports Italia: “There are so many things going through my mind. So many things at once. I have been in Rome for 11 months, I realized as soon as I arrived what it meant, they were waiting for this. As I told the guys in the dressing room in Turin, we did what had to be done.
“It wasn’t work tonight, it was history. History had to be written. We wrote it. The Conference League is a competition that we felt we could win from the start, but it has gone from strength to strength with the arrival of Europa League sides Leicester City, Olympique de Marseille and Feyenoord. We put so much stuff in there.
‘Now I stay, there is no doubt. Even if some rumors emerge, I only want to stay at Roma.
“We have to understand what our owners, who are fantastic people, want to do next season, we can build a really solid project with honest professionals.
“Of course I feel like a Romanista… I’m a fan of Porto, Inter, Chelsea, I’m crazy about Real Madrid, I’m now a Roma fan, I belong to all these clubs because we had those times together.Tonight, with all due respect to all the clubs I’ve worked for before, I’m 100% Romanista, because these fans are truly amazing.
