Corrections officer sentenced 10 years in Wallkill residence invasion, stabbing

GOSHEN – A New York Metropolis corrections officer who lives in Middletown has been sentenced to 10 years in state jail after pleading responsible to housebreaking in a violent residence invasion through which he stabbed his spouse, Orange County District Lawyer David Hoovler introduced.

Hoovler stated the corrections officer, Jonathan Harris, 41, of Middletown, was sentenced Monday to 10 years in state jail adopted by 5 years of post-release supervision.

In keeping with Hoovler, as admitted in the course of the plea course of and in charging paperwork filed in court docket on July 16, 2022, Harris broke into the house of his spouse within the city of Wallkill in violation of a beforehand issued order of safety.
