Its stormy season Indianapolis Colts All-Pro linebacker Shaquille Leonard Taking another detour.

He was then left out of Sunday’s game Las Vegas Raiders As of early Friday, the Colts now plan to place Leonard on injured reserve after a setback on his way back from offseason back surgery, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The decision means Leonard will miss at least four of the Colts’ remaining eight games.

Interim head coach Jeff Bezos said Friday that Leonard didn’t finish Wednesday’s workout because Leonard “felt different” since surgery in June with back and nerve-related issues.

“They’ve scanned him and they’re working with him, evaluating him,” Saturday said of the team’s medical staff.

Leonard has only played three games this season. He made his debut in Week 4 on October 2 but suffered a broken nose and concussion in that game after bending his face mask after a collision. Leonard returned to action in Week 8 but will now be sidelined again after playing in the Colts’ last two games.

It was a frustrating few months for Leonard, who doctors discovered had a pinched nerve in his back, causing pain in his lower body. Leonard was stretched in slow progress earlier this week.

“Every week I felt better, starting with my first week of practice, not being able to move and being stiff,” he said. “In the last two games, I’ve seen myself move around better. But we’re not there yet. The nerve in my calf isn’t firing yet.”
