Bellator 288 is primed and ready to go down tonight (Fri., Nov. 18, 2022) inside Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Ill., featuring a championship doubleheader. In the main event of the evening, light heavyweight kingpin, Vadim Nemkov, will rematch Corey Anderson in the Grand Prix Final. The event will be co-headlined by a very interesting lightweight title fight as Patricky Pitbull puts his 155-pound belt on the line against Usman Nurmagomedov.

Tyrell Fortune vs Daniel James

Round 1: They touch gloves. Hard low kick from Fortune starts things off. Another one but James catches it and sends him to the canvas. Fortune gets up and James grabs him and pushes him against the cage, reversing Fortune position. Fortune pauses in action after kneeing his foe in the groin area. Once the action resumes Luck shoots for a takedown and he gets it. There is no activity in the field. Fate lands some shots in James’ side, but nothing seems to hit him. James is a sitting duck with Fortune on top of him. James Tris goes to get up and Fortune takes his back and sinks in a back naked choke. It’s tight and James is fighting the arm and he reverses position and he starts powerbombing Fortune to close out the round. Wild! Super close round. 10-9 luck

Roman Faraldo vs Levant eyes

Round 1: Both men come out swinging and Keshli goes for a quick takedown, and he gets it. Kemeli almost choked but Faralod escaped. Back to their feet and Kemeli lets his fists fly and he pushes Faraldo for a moment. Kehelli goes for a takedown, stuffed, and a nice judo throw from Faraldo, who ends up in mount position. That was smooth. Farldo starts flying elbows and Kemeli somehow reverses position and he’s now in guard. Kemeli is not doing much work from this position. He gets some space and starts with ground-and-pound. Faraldo tries to come back but Chechelli holds the position. Faraldo scrambles, but he can not get away from the strong hands of his opponent. It was a close round but Chokheli takes it. 10-9 eyelids

Round 2: Faraldo lands a right hand and Kemeli goes for the takedown again, but it gets stuffed. They’re swinging for the fences, but Eyeball isn’t liking it one bit and grabs Faraldo and pushes him against the cage. Eyeball Faraldo’s open guard. Eyeball takes Faraldo’s back and now looks for a rear-naked choke. Faraldo escapes but he lands a kick to the face. Kemeli grabs Faraldo and drags him to the fence, but he eats some elbows to the side of the head for his trouble. Chokheli with a nice right but Faraldo drops him with a nice right hand and he pounces. Kehelli tries to survive while Faraldo unleashes hell with his fists. He is trouble free for now. Faraldo now lands several blows to the side of the head and is deducted a point for grabbing the fence. He ends the round with non-stop elbows. He would have won the round had the fence not been occupied. 9-9

Round 3: Faraldo needs a finish because if he wins this round the fight will be a draw. Faraldo is swinging hard but nothing is connecting cleanly. Eyeball shoots for a takedown but gets stuffed again. Both men slowed down quite a bit in the third and final round after throwing some big heat in the first two rounds. Left hook to the eye and Faraldo fires back with a clean right hand. Eyeball changes levels and finally he gets the takedown. This is a critical takedown that will score him points in the round. Faraldo will have to work his way into trying to get a knockout or submission from the ground. Kehelli has a great position and doesn’t want to give it up. Kehelli gets a warning from the ref for overworking himself. Faraldo is working hard to get up, but Cechelli isn’t moving with a minute left in the fight. The fight ends in the same position with eyebrows up and Faraldo trying to get to his feet. 10-9 eyelids

Final result: Keshli def. Faraldo via unanimous decision
