Backstage news on WWE Money in the Bank and LA Night

The future of WWE Money in the Bank has been uncertain in recent months, with several reports stating that WWE May Discontinue Annual Premium Live Events And instead hold the ladder match at WrestleMania – as it was before 2010.

A new report from Fight selection “Several members of the creative and higher-ups at WWE” provided some clarity on the situation, noting that “while such a thing is not impossible”, the idea had not yet “crossed their desks”.

Another rumor has swirled that LA Knight is a shoo-in to win next year’s Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match, with WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H seen as a big supporter of the “SmackDown” superstar. However, WWE sources close to Fightful shot down the rumors, with one person noting that there has been no discussion about the winner of the ladder match in 2023.

“I love LA Night, but we don’t even have concrete plans for months, much less next year’s Money in the Bank,” an anonymous WWE source told Fightful. “It wouldn’t have been hard to take if we wanted it so bad from him [Austin] Theory put on him. I’ve never heard him discuss Money in the Bank in the same conversation. Not that it couldn’t happen, because he’s a great performer, but it wasn’t discussed.”

Earlier this year, the Money in the Bank Premium Live event was originally scheduled to take place at the 65,000-seat Allegiant Stadium. But had to move to the 17,000-seat MGM Grand Garden Due to low ticket sales. It was previously believed that WWE intended to make Money in the Bank part of the new annual “Big 5” with WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Royal Rumble and Survivor Series. Next year’s Money in the Bank location is yet to be announced.
